Rev. W. Joseph Winfree 


The Rev. Joe Winfree (“Pastor Joe,” as he is called by his parishioners) was appointed to Corinth UMC in Sandston, Virginia as Pastor in June of 2013. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and obtained his Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University.

Pastor Joe has been involved in a wide variety of ministry settings ranging from serving in a rural setting to managing a homeless shelter in Portsmouth, Virginia. He believes strongly in relational ministry that seeks to connect with people wherever they may be in their personal faith journey. He has a passion for mission and community outreach and has led several mission teams to Central America.

Pastor Joe is married to Patti Gahagan Winfree. Patti recently retired from serving as a special education teacher at Carver Middle School in Chesterfield County.

Sue Buck
Administrative Assistant 
Corinth United Methodist Church Administrative Assistant, Sue Buck has been on staff since July 1998 and has been a member since 2004. Sue loves to spend time with her family, friends and read a good book.  She is married and has two grown children.

Pat Davis
Parish Nurse

Pat was born and raised in Pennsylvania where she attended nursing school. Pat is married to Bill and they have a son and a daughter. Combined they have 7 beautiful grandchildren. After marrying, Bill and Pat moved to Virginia. She has worked in many different areas of nursing. Bill and Pat have been members of Corinth for over 25 years. Love of people and being able to help them in some way has led her to accept the position of Parish Nurse. This being a new position, she's still learning and figuring out new ways to serve the Lord and the people she has come to love.


Diana Greer
Director of Music Ministries
Born in the Philippines of biracial parents, Diana is now the mother of two children, and is married to Linny Greer, Media Technician of the Arts and Humanities Center, Richmond Public Schools.
Since 1976 she has served as organist, then choral director of Corinth United Methodist Church in Sandston VA. In 2004 she retired from her public school job as music resource teacher and arts administrator of Richmond City’s Arts and Humanities Center. 
Education:   Bachelor of Music Education (1970) from Radford University, Radford VA and Master of Music Education degree (1978) from Virginia Commonwealth University,
Community Organizations:   President of the National Board of the US-China Friendship Association.
"I love travelling, ethnomusicology,  composing, conducting  and working with youth and choirs. So I am blessed to be in the midst of what I love to do. Praise God!"  

Charlotte Strom
Director of Children & Family Ministries

A Richmond native, Charlotte has been a member of Corinth for 25 years (but has attended Corinth since birth). Charlotte held the role of Volunteer Children’s Coordinator at Corinth for five years until she joined our staff in December 2008.

Her love for children and her church helped to guide her to the position that she currently holds for Corinth.
